 We are currently advertising for a Foundation Stage Practitioner and Mealtime Assistant for the Pre-School:

 

We are a rural setting within a small, friendly village community on the outskirts of South Molton. We offer childcare and early years learning opportunities for to up to 24 children per session between the ages of 2 and 4 years.

From September, the setting will be open during term time only on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8.30-4.00pm

Foundation Stage Practitioner:

A caring, enthusiastic and committed leader is required to join our dedicated team from September 2017.  Duties will include: overseeing and co-ordinating the provision of high quality childcare and education; supervision and care of children; activity planning; health and safety/risk assessment and assessment/monitoring/evaluation; parent/carer liaison; contributing to, and implementing, school policies and working with staff to ensure that they are adhered to at all times. You will hold a full and relevant Level 3 qualification (such as NVQ Level 3 in CLLD or equivalent) as a minimum and will have experience of working in an Early Years setting or other suitable experience. 

Knowledge of the EYFS and child development is essential, as is a desire to work as part of our school team to provide excellent educational opportunities for our children.  You will preferably be first aid trained and hold a current Paediatric First Aid qualification, although training can be provided. 

The post is for 30 hours per week worked over four days (Mon - Thu) and pay rate is initially £8.36 - £9.21 per hour dependent on experience.

Mealtime Assistant:

We also require a Meatlime Assistant to cover the lunch period at pre-school.  You will enjoy working with our youngest children and be prepared to support and assist with their lunchtime routines.  You will enjoy being part of a wider team, have effective communication skills and be able to demonstrate good food hygiene practices following school health & safety guidelines.  You will preferably be first aid trained and hold a current Paediatric First Aid qualification, although training can be provided. 

Hours are up to 6 per week (1.5 per day) although this is dependent on numbers attending on individual days.  Rate of pay is £7.78 per hour.
